Treasurer - Francesca Smith

Francesca Smith grew up in Chicago and moved to California after graduating from the University of Illinois.  She became an avid boater upon marrying McKenzie who spent his childhood summers on the lakes of northern Wisconsin.  After the newly-married couple purchased their first trailer boat, Francesca learned how to water ski and thus became hooked on all things nautical.  Several in-the-water boats later, the couple now berth their 1985 Chris Craft Commander at B&W Marina on the Mokelumne River where they met members of Ox Bow Yacht Club and were sponsored to join.  Francesca and McKenzie spend nearly every week-end on the boat.  It’s their second home.  And having a group of fun people to cruise with and explore the Delta has been wonderful.  The couple own and operate an insurance agency in Petaluma.  Francesca served the club as a Director for two years and now serves as club Treasurer.  See you on the water!

Judy and I have been boaters from childhood. Soon after our marriage we purchased a "Lido 14" sloop that we raced competitively Statewide.

Later we raced and cruised a variety of sailboats on SF bay and around the state before settling into cruising our Carver Mariner on the Delta. My grandfather and grandmother as well as both of our parents own or owned summer homes on Clearlake allowing the two of us and our children to engage in power boating, windsurfing, water skiing and sailing a variety of small boats. We have also continue to actively participate in several boating organizations. tapnsail@aol.com
