Ox Bow Yacht Club is Closing December 2022
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, they met at San Francisco State University and married in April 1965. Ray and Vicki purchased their first boat in 1966. Ray started building a children’s residential summer camp in 1969, owned and operated the camp until 2000. Vicki worked with Ray in developing camp, returned to school and received her law degree in 1987. She was admitted to the Bar in California and later in Hawaii.
Ray and Vicki moved to Kona, Hawaii in 2000. By 2001, Ray had obtained his Captain’s License, bought a boat with commercial permits, and began building a charter business. Vicki began practicing Law in 2003.
In 2016, Ray and Vicki moved to Florida where they spent over 4 years exploring the Intracostal Waterway and the Bahamas.
Their 20-year Tropical Adventure came to a close last year as Covid gave the incentive they needed to move back to California closer to family and lifetime friends.
They now live in Rancho Murieta and Victoria’s Seacret resides at Village West Marina.
Lady Francesca and McKenzie Smith have been boating for decades…. First on the lakes in northern Wisconsin, then offshore in Southern California and currently exploring Bay and Delta waterways.
Their vessel is berthed at a marina on the Mokelumne River where they enjoy visiting and cruising with Ox Bow YC members, attending local festivals and events and finding more of those hidden gems that make the Delta so unique.
Jim Marshall and Gail Parker-Marshall joined Ox Bow Yacht Club in 2010 and have been active members in organizing cruise-outs, club activities and in leadership of the club with Jim serving as Commodore in 2015 and Gail serving as a Director.
Jim and Gail have been boating on the Delta for over four decades, in ski boats and for the past 22 years in larger power boats starting with a 34 ft. Chris Craft, followed by a 42 ft. Grand Banks, then a 48 ft. Navigator Pilothouse and currently in their 35 ft. Californian which they berth at B & W Marina on the Mokelumne River. They have cruised throughout the Bay, offshore from Southern California to San Francisco, in the San Juan Islands and on several rivers in France. Jim is licensed Yacht & Ship Salesperson with Pacific Yacht Imports and has assisted many OBYC members in the purchase and sale of their yachts.
Jim & Gail have three children and seven grandchildren.

Stephanie received the 2020 Commodores Award for contributions and leadership.
Rich Harrington was the big winner of the Free Haul Out donated by Delta Boats Works at 2020 Change of Watch
Linda received the 2018 JoBates Memorial Delegate of the Year Award from PICYA.
