Ox Bow is always looking for a few good cruising members
Lady Francesca and McKenzie Smith have been boating for decades…. First on the lakes in northern Wisconsin, then offshore in Southern California and currently exploring Bay and Delta waterways.
Their vessel is berthed at a marina on the Mokelumne River where they enjoy visiting and cruising with Ox Bow YC members, attending local festivals and events and finding more of those hidden gems that make the Delta so unique.
Jim Marshall and Gail Parker-Marshall joined Ox Bow Yacht Club in 2010 and have been active members in organizing cruise-outs, club activities and in leadership of the club with Jim serving as Commodore in 2015 and Gail serving as a Director.
Jim and Gail have been boating on the Delta for over four decades, in ski boats and for the past 22 years in larger power boats starting with a 34 ft. Chris Craft, followed by a 42 ft. Grand Banks, then a 48 ft. Navigator Pilothouse and currently in their 35 ft. Californian which they berth at B & W Marina on the Mokelumne River. They have cruised throughout the Bay, offshore from Southern California to San Francisco, in the San Juan Islands and on several rivers in France. Jim is licensed Yacht & Ship Salesperson with Pacific Yacht Imports and has assisted many OBYC members in the purchase and sale of their yachts.
Jim & Gail have three children and seven grandchildren.
Marc and Laura Cevello joined Ox Bow Yacht Club in 2012. Laura served as club Treasurer from late 2013 through 2018 and is currently the club Secretary. Marc grew up boating in the Delta since the age of 4 and has owned at least one boat for the past 35+ years. Laura learned to love boating as much as Marc when they met in 1996 and he introduced her to the unique boating culture in the Delta . They enjoy spending as much time as possible on their 41’ Chris Craft Commander which was completely repowered in 2013 or on their 14’ Caribe inflatable. Between attending as many OBYC events as possible, cruising with other OBYC members, visiting other yacht clubs or anchoring out, Marc and Laura are always up for a good time in and around the water. They currently keep their boat at a marina on the Mokelumne River.
John & Stephanie joined Ox Bow Yacht Club in 2013. Both have served the club in various leadership positions. Their vessel is berthed at Pillar Point Marina Half Moon Bay where they enjoy trips along the coast, Bay and visits to the Delta. John & Stephanie were married on their boat under the Golden Gate Bridge in 2018.
